Yes. Crown Auto Glass is registered with Tesla’s parts network, which allows us to source genuine OEM Tesla windshields and glass directly from the manufacturer. This ensures proper fitment, clarity, and compatibility with Tesla’s ADAS and camera systems.
Every replacement includes in-house ICBC claim processing, complimentary interior detailing (vacuum + dash wipe, ~$250 value), pick-up and drop-off options, and a free bottle of glass cleaner. ADAS calibration is also completed on-site when required.
Absolutely. We work directly with most major insurance providers, including ICBC, BCAA, and Family Insurance, to streamline your claim. Our team handles the paperwork and approvals so you can get your glass repaired or replaced with minimal hassle, often at little or no cost to you depending on your coverage.
Most rock chip repairs take 60 minutes, while full windshield or other glass replacements typically take around 3 hours depending on the vehicle and service. Our technicians will let you know the expected time frame when booking and ensure the glass is safely set and calibrated before you drive away.
Windshield chips can often be repaired if they’re smaller than a loonie and haven’t spread, but cracks cannot be repaired. Once a chip begins to crack or a full crack forms, the windshield must be replaced to restore strength and safety. Driving with a cracked windshield can compromise visibility, airbag performance, and the overall integrity of your vehicle.
Scratches on auto glass cannot be properly repaired. Unlike rock chips, scratches don’t create a cavity that resin can fill. Polishing deep enough to remove them would weaken the glass and distort visibility — both of which create safety issues.
Yes. We replace windshields equipped with ADAS cameras, lane-keep sensors, rain sensors, humidity sensors, HUD (head-up display) glass, and more. These systems are recalibrated in-house after installation.
Windshield cracks spread because of temperature changes, road vibration, and pressure on the glass. Even small chips can grow quickly, especially in extreme hot or cold weather.
Yes. If you prefer genuine OEM parts, you can absolutely request them. However, insurance only covers the cost of aftermarket parts. Choosing OEM means you’ll need to pay your deductible plus any price difference between the OEM and aftermarket part.
Yes, you can choose to pay out of pocket. But if you have comprehensive coverage, the out-of-pocket cost is almost always higher than simply paying your deductible, since insurance won’t contribute to the repair if you opt to self-pay.
